  QuickStart Tennis Play Format

QuickStart Tennis Play Format, a concept supported by the tennis industry, is not a teaching program, but rather a play format that can be incorporated into any existing program. Its goals are to increase play among children 10 and under, with a focus on graduated courts, racquets and balls.

QuickStart provides young players with additional opportunities to participate in games, team practices and beginner competition. One of the main reasons USPTA supports QuickStart is because it is easily added to the many existing Little Tennis programs. Little Tennis games, drills and lesson plans can all be conducted using QuickStart court and equipment dimensions.

In addition, USTA will soon organize tournaments adopting the QuickStart Play Format for children in this age group. It will also be implemented through other playing events such as Junior Team Tennis and National Junior Tennis League. For Little Tennis/QuickStart equipment, click here.
