Occasionally, people wonder why USPTA works so hard to develop and promote some of its own sports marketing events like Little Tennis. USPTA, as the trade association for teaching professionals, designs its programs with the intention of benefiting and satisfying the interests of 100 percent of its member professionals, as well as the vast majority of the tennis public they come in contact with on a daily basis. Whether a professional’s interests are in public parks and recreation centers, community tennis associations, resorts, racquet clubs or country clubs, a USPTA program can be equally applied and benefit each professional and player in the respective community.
Tennis is one of the few lifetime sports that can be played from age 3 to 103. In addition, it is a wonderful family sport that enables everyone to play together in an atmosphere of fitness and fun. Few sports are more compatible for parents and children to learn and play together.
Everyone in tennis has been asked to "grow the game," and USPTA sees Little Tennis as the surest way for it to meet this commitment.
